Cloud Syncer – Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Overview

Cloud Syncer is a file transfer client for Android that connects to your own servers (FTP, FTPS, SFTP). The app is designed to operate locally on your device and only communicates with servers you explicitly configure.

Data We Do Not Collect

Local Storage and Permissions

Cloud Syncer uses Android’s Storage Access Framework (SAF) to access folders and files that you explicitly select. Access is limited to the chosen folder’s scope and can be revoked at any time in Android settings.

Network Connections

The app connects only to servers you add. File listings, uploads, and downloads are transmitted directly between your device and those servers using the selected protocol (FTP/FTPS/SFTP). For FTPS and SFTP, data is encrypted in transit by the underlying protocol.

Analytics

Cloud Syncer may include Firebase Analytics to help improve stability and usability. If enabled in the build you install, Firebase Analytics may collect anonymous usage information (e.g., screens visited, basic device info). No file contents or credentials are sent.

You can opt out of Analytics from the app settings (if provided in your build) or by using Android’s “Reset advertising ID / Disable ad personalization” settings. For more details, see Google’s Privacy Policy.

Crash and Error Reporting

If enabled, crash logs may include non-personal technical data (stack traces, OS version, device model). These logs help diagnose issues and improve the app.

Security

Children’s Privacy

Cloud Syncer is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy to reflect improvements or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
